.Russian foreign trade returns for the period, January to October, just published, show’ that Soviet imports for that period amounted to only £31,200,000 at .par, and exports to £44,350,000. The figures show that the Soviet has deliberately cut imports to the bone in -order to c"'interact the trading deficit <of recent years, and create a small surplus to nieet lb-ills maturing abroad.
