Mr H. T. Drew, in a letter to the “Daily Telegraph.” sharply denies that New Zealand butter is selling in London for seveiipence per pound, while the price in the Dominion ip as high as Is 3d.' As a matter, of fact, lie says, butter of the equivalent qualities selling at the same price in New Zealand as it is in London, the retail prices in Now Zealand being ruled entirely by the London prices. Furthermore, he says, there is no dumping of the Dominion butter or cheese into Britain, as Board of Trade returns prove.
