FRANCE TIGHTENING UP RULES.
ENGLISH OSTRACISM FEARED.

Owing to the fear that the French tennis players may be ostracised in England, similar to the rugby players, ,Rene Laeosie,. chairman of the Federation’s. special committee, state's they are drastically tightening up the amateur rules, and had produced a voluminous report defining the duties of amateurs, and • laying down travelling expenses.
M. Gillon, the president, says: “We are going to be even stricter. Just wait until the committee’s report is published/’ y
