VISIT POSTPONED
OF U.S. GOLFERS TO AUSTRALIA
OPPOSITION FROM VICTORIA.
(Australian Press Association)
(Received this day at 10.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, December 13
The golfer, Archie Keane, the manager in Australia for Sarlizen and Kirkwood, thinks that the opposition in Victoria to their tour, which has now been cancelled, may have influenced Kirkwood’s decision.
The Victorian's were particularly anxious to postpone the visit, so that it will synchronise with the centenary celebrations in November, 1934. It was even hinted, that, in the event of their arrival iii February, the Victorian xjlub.s would refuse to make their courses available.
