WAR DEBTS
SEVERAL DEFAULTS TO U.S.A. BRITAIN TO PAY £7,500,000 (United Press Association-—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) WASHINGTON, December 9. The State Department has to-day forwarded communications to the nations that are defaulting in their war debt, reminding them of their obligations on December 15. They include France, Poland, Belgium, Esthonia and Hungary. Britain is prepared to pay £7,500,000 on the total of £117,670,000 which is due to her. Previously she paid ten millions on £75,950,600 due. The remainder of the war debts to America, excluding Finland, who has paid in full, are to offer token payments, the majority of which will be less than they made last time.
