Af'conference, convened by the M a y°r of Auckland' at the- instigation of the Farmers’ Union will be held to-morrow, of representatives of maii-y metropolitan local bodies -and organisatons to discuss the matter of unemployment.

Among other questions to' be considered -are whether the present .reflet •system is satisfactory, and ir not, what icou-ld take its place, whether trade union conditions should b e restored and working hours reduced, whether all relief work s should be abolished and sustenance pay substituted, whether support should be given to demands for a ■Government inquiry into the monetary and credit system, ' and whether there should be national planning qf industry.
