DARING OUTRAGE

CHINESE BANDITS WRECK TRAIN OCCUPANTS THEN FIRED ON. (United Frees Association—By Electric Telegraph-Copyright.) (Received this day at 12 noon). SHANGHAI, November 27. : A daring outrage wa s perpetrated by bandits forty miles east of Tsitsihar on Sunday night. Bandits unbolted}' the rails of the trans-Siberian railway, and an express, travelling at fifty miles an hour, somersaulted down an embankment. The bandits then opened fire on the passengers, who sought to escape from the wrecked train.

Members of a Japanese guard happened to be travelling on the train, and they returned the fire, the bandits fleeing.

Several passengers were taken captive. The Japanese lost two killed and several wounded. It is believed many persons were killed and injured i n the wreck.
