At the stadium to-night in fifteen round, before a very large crowd, Ambrose Palmer, 12 st., outpointed the American, Dave Shade, list IVlbs. The majority hooted the decision. Shade was a cool and elusive customer, and made Palmer swing widely. The contest was for from spectacular, and was marked bv successive clinches. Palmer was unimpressive compared with his former appearances here.
