LEVIN, November 25. The Levin -Racing Club’s . meeting w.u s held in fine weather. There was large attendance and the course was very fast. ;In the jWerarpa Hack Handicap Hark Form'd and Sage fell at the fiv,& furlong post. Sage broke a- leg and had to be destroyed. The riders were uninjured. /fh e sum of £9,521 was put through the ' tote as .■ against £7,709 last year.

The weather for the concluding day of the Duhedi. n Trotting Cluib’ s meeting was beautifully fine. . There was a large attendance of the public and the track was . in. splendid order. Todd Lonzia failed to' break the record, registering 2.12 3-5 after three bad breaks.' The totalisator for. the..- day handled £21,471 10s compared with $18,505 10s last year, - a total 'for the meeting of '£35,204: 10s, as against £31,926 10s.

RICHARDS 259 WINNERS

LONDON, November 25. ‘ Gordon (Richards, the jockey, wound up the flat racing season at Manchester, riding "the last winner of the day, thu s making 259 winners out of nearly (one thousand rides: He ds now going on holiday in Switzerland. Novett is runner-up to Richards with 73 wins. Lord Derby leads the winning owners' with £27,691.■ His Majesty the King won ten races, it being one of his best years as an owner.
Darling was the most successful trainer, winning £44,279, while Butters won £42,592.
NEW HORSE FOR THE COiJST
GREYMOUTH, November 27.
Rhea, 1 a. four-year-old chestnut filly by ' Arausio-Gladsheim, ' was shipped from Carterton to Greymouth by the ■Hanna, which arrived on .Saturday morning and she will be prepared tor racing in the West Coast Christmas circuit. Owned by Mr A. 0. Abbott, of - Carterton, Rhea will be leased .to a West Coast sportsman. She has entered C. Wasley’s stable. Rhea, wh° is at present carrying a lot of condition, won a race at Pahiatua last season, whilst she had been second on three occasions, and twice third.
