LONDON,. November 24
Mr de Valera’s decision not lo enter South Down, Ulster, in pursuance cf his condidature, has prevented any necessity of banning his entry to Nlster, which, has been urged by many organisations.
Health reasons will prevent Lord Craigayoii also Mr Joseph Devlin (Irish Notionalist hauler in Ulster) from attending any meetings ip the election, which will undoubtedly result in a 2 ttol majority in favour of a continuance of union with Ehgiand. A foretaste of what Mr de Valera may expect if lie "ins South Down election is contained in an order that the Northern Ireland Government has given to the police that, if he enters the Ulster territory, he must instantly be served with an exclusion order, and that, non compliance therewith is to involve his arrest and imprisonment.
Mr de Valera, in a manifesto in the South Down election says that the position precludes his visit to the constituency at present, but lie hopes that the voters will organise an overwhelming majority against the partition of Ireland.
