IMPOSED ON DRUNKEN DRIVER. (Per Press Association —Copyright). WELLINGTON, -November 25. Leslie George Oliver, aged 42, a boot salesman, of Palmerston North, was fined £4O to-day, and hi s -driving license was cancelled for twelve months, on a charge of driving a car while in a state of intoxication. Accused was fined £2O and his license wa s endorsed only in August last, but Mr Stilwell, S.M. took it into consideration that he was married and had two ehildreiv and did not send him to gaol.
