WELLINGTN, November 24. A further attempt to niovc the adjournment of the House in consequence of the dissatisfaction over the failure to amend the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Bill in the Legislative Council was made when the House 'of Representatives met at 10.30 this morning.
The Speaker announced h« had received a request from Mr 1 rasei- to move, the adjournment of the House for the purpose of discussing the failure of the Minister of Finance to implement his promise to have amended the clause daling with the appointment of governor and deputy governor of the Reserve Bank.
Sir Charles Stathan ruled the motion out of order.
The House of Representatives commenced consideration of the estimates this morning.
Labour members complained of sweated conditions in factories, Mr Lee stating he believed inspectors had been inspired by the Department not to take action.
The Hon. Adam Hamilton said ho could give an assurance that officers of the Department had been asked to he more vigilant than ever. The House adjourned at 1 p.m.
