ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. VALUES GENERALLY FIRM. (Per Prexx Assoriatio n— Coyjr'ijhb.) CHRISTCHURCH, November 22. Kxcept for pigs, values to-day at Addington live slock sale were well maintained. There was a medium yarding of store sheep, chiefly hoggets, but very few ewes and lambs. There was a good attendance of buyers. Competition was keen. There was a general advance in values of from Is to 2s 6d -per bead. There was a email-yarding of mutton, practically all local sheep, Consisting chiefly of tail end lots and odd-nre-nts. Well finished sheep were scarce. Values were better by :2s per -head.

i Fat lambs were in fairly ehort supply. The quality was better. Butchers were keen for heavy prime lots. The | schedule rates were exceeded on this class. Medium lots were fully up to the schedule. Extra heavy lambs <sold to ,26s 4d. prime heavy 20s to 245, medium 17s to 20s, light from 14s. There was a slightly smaller offering of beef, but it was sufficient for requirements, however. Best quality sorts were firm at last week’s rates. Inferior Jots were easier. Extra heavy bullocks made 2ls Id to 2?,3 6d per hundredweight; prime handy weights 23s to 255; -prime medium 21s to 235; unfinished from 18s ; extra prime heifers sold from 23s to 25e per hundredweight ; prime . 22s to 23s 6d : light from 21s. Heavy cows made 18s to i2ls; prime young cows made 18s +0 21s ; prime vounsr cow,- 2ls to 22s 6d : plain from 16-s.
