The Rusholme (Manchester) by-elec-tion, owing to the former member Sir Boyd Merriman securing a judgeship, resulted:—

Mr F. A. Radford (Conservative) 13,904 Rev. G. S. Woods (Labour) 11,005 Doctor P. McDougall (Independent Liberal) 2,503

At the 'general election Sir Boyd Merriman (| haft an absolute majority of 18,499, where the majority over the Labour candidate this time is 2899.
