SYDNEY, November 13.
The “Telegraph” says that Australia’s greatest all-round athlete, Jack Metcalfe, will not compete at the natfilonal track \j.nd field ■championships at Adelaide in January. Th| s decision has shocked the 'State and National athletic officials.
■Another announcement, made by Metcalfe, which will cause official concern, is that he has accepted an invitation to tonr New Zealand, with Hoiwfall, of Victoria, and Barwick, of Tasmania.
The New South Wales Amateur Athletic Association has not yet been officially informed of the invitation.
