These show the state of Parties as follows: Agrarians 61 Popular Action Party 55 Radicals 25 ■Socialists ... 25 Conservative Republicans ... 4 Monarchists H COMMENT IN LONDON. LONDON, November 10. The “Daily Express’ ” Madrid correspondent says : It should be explained that in Spain, to-day, a Socialist means something very near a Communist, and the Right Party something very near a Monarchist. The latter is made up of 'Catholics, Agrarians and Monarchists There is no election cry for the return of the Monarchy, but the Right, known as Accion Popular, represents the wishes of those desiring a Monarchal Government.
SPANISH ELECTION. LONDON PRESS REPORT. LONDON, November 20. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Madrid correspondent says: “Astute Right politicians are almost as afraid of a Socialist, landslide as of an absolute Conservtive defeat, because a sweeping Conservative victory would be l bound to split the Right Coalition. The Socialists are now regretting their extrtmist speeches and their instigation of violence as the Right Party made full capital there from. A few isolated results were known to-night, being insufficient to indicate the final situation.
General San Jurjon, .who was sentenced to death for participation in General De Rivera’s 1923 coup, and whose sentence was later commuted to life imprisonment, which he .is now serving, was elected as a Right member for Melilla, in Spanish Morocco.
