LONDON, November 17
At a meeting of tlie Imperial Smelting Corporation, Sir Robert Horne, presiding, said the Empire’s capacity to produce zinc is now substantially, in excess of the Empire’s consumption. The present consumption in the United Kingdom was between 125 and 130 thousand tons a year. He thought an attempt should he made in the direction of regulating the trade, establishing more orderly market methods.
UNEMPLOYMENT IN ITALY
ROME, November 16
While Britain’s unemployment is steadily declining, Italy’s has risen to 962,868, compared with 907,463 at the end of September.
