Sir Leanard Rogers, who has retired from the office of medical adviser to the Secretary for India, and President of the Indian Office Medical Board is one of the foremost authorities on tropical diseases and is specially known for his research work on Kawaazar cholera, and amoebic dysentry and leprosy, and suffering in India. Ho is continuing his research work. Sir John Megaw will succeed him at the India Office.

SIR J. ELLERMAIN’S estate
(Ilece'vied this cl'iy at 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, November 19. It is reported that a further £4,301,770 is being paid in estate duty on Sir John Ellennan’s fortune, bringing the total payments up to £12,942,957.
