There are solid grounds fc-r believing that business in the Waikato is gradually improving. . Business men say that customers are more cheerful and optimistic than they have boon since the depression started It seems unquestionable that the higher prices obtaining for wool, lambs and mutton have been a primary factor in creating the better tone of the last two or three weeks.
Dairy experts in close touch with the overseas marketing position state that dairy farmers can look to slightly better prices, so that with a further increase' in production in siomr* c( ~ t.ricts, the outlook here is much better than it has been for a long time.
