MAN DROWNED AT WELLINGTON

WELLINGTON, November- 19. During (the progress '-of aquatic events in connection with the Confidence Carnival opened on Saturday af- V ternoon, the Takapuna 'glass yacht Bryony capsized in a hifih w’nd off Te Aro baths, and Francis Vernon Grove, engineer,' married,' aged.* 28,, with one child, was drowned. His ship- . mate, Philip Beales, was saved by the / launch Wai 7 iti, which arrived -just too late to prevent Grove' sinking.* His body lias not been recovered.
