RACING AT CARTERTON. SALTPOT WINS THE CUP
CARTERTON, November 19. Th e Carterton Racing Club’s annual meeting took place to-day at ' Taratahi racecourse in beautiful weather before a large attendance. The win and place investments reaching £7,713 as against £6,225/10/- last year. The course was in perfect order and good times were recorded in several very close finishes. The cup was won by Mr B. HammondV Saltpot with a length to spare.. There were no startling dividends, though in the last race, won by My. Ideal, the winner repaid backers well,. Results:—
