CHIEFS GAOLED AFTER, RAID

This morning police parties, in charge of Inspector Braisbv, simultaneously raided the Mau headquarters, their office at Yaioso and the Hon. ilr Nelson’s residence at Tuaefu . It is believed much Mau propaganda was seit'.cd. Later eight Samoan chiefs, of the Mau, who were part of the. delegation of ICO. were, arrested in Lauatnannu village. It is alleged they had been collecting unlawful monies, and engaging in the general Mau activities.
