The Manawatu Automobile Association last evening received advice from the North Island Motor Union, setting out the now regulations, regarding the powers given to drivers of motor fne
engines, It was decided that the committee write to the. Union advising that it was of the opinion that while it was desirable to place no unreasonable restriction on lire engine drivers, at the same time it appeared that the lieW regulations place too much powet W the hands of drivers of fire engines, which might possibly lead to loss <r life. _____ ' 1
