NO FURTHER INFORMATION

(per Press Association — Copyright.)

CHRISTCHURCH, November 18.| - So far there is" nothing more to report in connection wLh the murder of Donald Fraser than was recorded yesterday. A diligent search by a larg« body of police still, .continues. " Mr Fraser was asleep on the , right side oi the double bed, which wa s in the centre of the large room with its foot facing the balcony. After lie was shot he rolled out- of bed and lay face downward. When found, Mr Fraser wa s ' dressed m' his shirt, singlet and socks. ; His pyjamas were lying at the end of the bed. Mrs Fraser heard and saw . nothing until after the crime had been committed. It is net known whether she caught any glimpse of the" criminal, as she lias not been seen by anyone other -than police officials A shot rang out suddenly ( and Mr s Fraser found her husband gasping, with a terrible wound in his chest. She ran screaming to wake the other occupants of the hotel. Considerable sums of money "were found by the police?in clothing and-in drawers in the bedroom in which Mr Fraser was shot, and it is apparent .that robbery was not the motive for the crime, and so far, although the police have made extensive investigations, the whole affair is shrouded in mystery.
