Hawkeg Bay-Manawatu district synod •and Methodist synod passed .resolutions continuing its protest against facilities for -conducting art unions and expressing opposition to the suggested amendments to the Gaming Act; continuing wholehearted support of the Bible-in-Schools League ; urging authorities to enforce more strictly six o’clock closing of hotel bars ; protesting against the aet’i°n of the Unemployment Board in cutting allowances under No. 5 scheme.
