FOUND DEAD
: MAN STRUCK BY A TRAIN. (P*r Preu Astociation Copyright.) ASHBURTON, November 14.' ■■ The mutilated body of James Joseph Dwyer, 44/ single, a labourer, residing at Wills St., Ashburton, was found beside the railway line a.. mile below Hinds, twelve miles from Ashburton at 5.30 this morning, Dwyer had been struck-by' the southbound train, probably about 2 a.m. and the body dragged: six .yards along the track. ■ The body was found by tile crew of the .paper train. It is not known how .Dwyer came to be on the line at that hour. He had served in France.
