DISARMAMENT
CONFERENCE ADJOURNS (United Proes Association—By Electric Te l egraph —Copyright.) GENEVA, October. 26. The Disarmament Bureau adopted a recommendation to adjourn in accordance .with a proposal by Mr Arthur Henderson, " iho .President.' Mr Henderson said that for the Conference, at this critical moment, to adopt a policy which could he interpreted no an indication of either unwillingness or inability to complete its task, would be disastrous, and would play into the hands of those who said that certain powers did not intend to reduce, or to liiriit their armaments. M. Massigli (France) indicated tliat the fall of the French. (Daladier) Government had not changed the situation. He said that any Government formed in France would undoubtedly favour the continuance of the work of the Conference. • Captain A. Eden said that the British Government favoured the procedure now recommended.
