BAIL REFUSED

ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER. AUCKLAND, October 23. Mary Little, forty-nine years of age. a married woman, who was arrested on October 14 on a charge of attempting to murder George Little at Pokeno, was remanded again to-day. Bail was refused. Her counsel sa;d that she had a spotless character. S'lie had never been in trouble before, and the matter was less serious than it had appeared. The police asked that bail should bo refused in tbe meantime, till the husband’s condition bad improved.
