INQUEST ON LATE BERT LOWE

CORONER RETURNS VERDICT

GREY-MOUTH, October 21. ‘•That deceased, Albert Sydney Lowe, came to his death at Grey River Hospital on October 23, from cerebral haemorrhage, cerebral contusion, and cerebral oedema, resulting from extreme physical exertion during a boxing contest on the evening of October 21. “The evidence shows that, the contest was very clean, Last, and even, and was conducted in a friendly spirit by both contestants. All rule s governing boxing contests, including the preliminary medical examination were fully complied with.” Thi s was the verdict returned bv the Coroner (Mr W. Meldnim), this morning at the inquest on Lowe whose death followed the fight on , Saturday with. Harry Lister.
