“FAST LIFE.”
As a distinct departure from enervating “drawing room drama,” tlie lightning fast motorboat thriller, “Fast Life,” is offered at the Princess The: atre this evening,, an exceptionally strong ,cast headed by William Haines and Madge Evans. Scenes of the boat races .filmed at Catalina Island and in the Los Angeles Harbour show highpowered craft pounding over the waves at close to ICO miles per hour. Cameras were, mounted on speedboats, to follow the racers, which gives the spectator the same effect as though he were actually ridiijg in the race. William Haines portrays “Sandy,” the mech-anic-inventor who develops plans for tlie new engine. Cliff Edwards lias a hilarious comedy role a.s Haines’ assistant, who is. continually messing things up throughout the picture. 'Madge Evans is cast as the daughter of a racing boat builder who ruins himself financially trying to build craft for the international races. A good supporting programme jyill. also, be shown.
