A FUNERAL
V/ITH. MILITARY HONOURS.

A military funeral /was accorded the late James Arthur Sliaiul, a South African War correspondent’. The pall bearers 1 included J. Spence (secretary of the Wellington R.b.A.) and Colonel Alabin (South African' veteran). The firing party was supplied by peimancuo force;,s training at Trcntham camp, ami was in charge ol' Staff Sorgt. Alajor J. S. King.
Hon. A. K. Ransom represented members of the Cabinet and Hon. de la TVrelle. members of the House of Representatives; A. W. Mulligan, Alinislerial private secretary. The South War Veterans Association was officially represented, also many other associations connected with both the South African and the Great War. Bugler F. C. Chegwin sounded the Last Post and Reveille.
Members of the R.S.A. filed past, dropping red poppies on the casket. The services were conducted by the Rev. H. E. K. Fry, D. C. Bates and AY. Brammoll Scott. Numerous floral tributes were received.
