SANTO TOME (Argentina), Oct. 17. * Four Brazilians, including two men related to the Brazilian Presidential family, were killed on Sunday night when an Argentine border patrol repulsed a launch crossing the Uruguay River from Brazil.

The dead are:—Aggi Vargas, the nephew of Pres.dent Vardas, of Brazil; Abbon Motta, the cousin of President Vagas’ wife; Rosonbeck, the Germanborn owner of the launch; and the launch pilot. The border guard said that the launch was carrying a group of men from San Bcrjan, armed with rifles and machine guns, and they were believed to have been seeking the release of men held in connection with the kidnapping of a Brazilian political refugee, Colonel Juan Garcia Cuha, on September 18.

BUENOS AIRES, October 17

The Argentine Government on Monday 'night, cabled its ambassador in (Rio De Janiero to present Argentina’s condolences to Brazil over the frontier incident on Sunday.

The Ministry of Marine has ordered an investigation.

Official circles have Recognised the incident as being ,a gi’ave threat to harmony between Brazil and Argentina.
