LARWOOD ATTACKED
STERN CRITICISM IN PRESS
“WILL DO WHAT HE IS TOLD.”
(United Press Assooiation —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.)
(Received this day at 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, October 16.
The “Yorkshire Post,” in a leader on the player-journalist nuisance, headed “Shut Up,” says: ‘■Larwood is telling the Avorld Avhat lie will d () , and what he will not do regarding bodyline boAvling, but it is a comforting fact that, in test matches, lie will do what he is told. This hardly excuses His tactless blustorings avlig-u lie rushed into print- as soon as the team returned. Apparently be is afflicted with a tendency to explain himself. No harm Avill be done to our relations with Australia if Larwood, for one, is restrained from such outbursts.”
