A huge buzzard, striking the high tension wire, plunged tihe city 'into darkness at the dinner hour. Motor lamps were the only illuminants in the streets, Iffie crowds in the cafes dined by candle-light.
“MAD FAKIR” ARRESTED
CALCUTTA, October 15
Lewanai, known as the frontier’s “Med Fakir,” and prominently associated with recent disturbances, was arrested at Torkham, with two nephhews. Re had evaded capture for over two years.
