LONDON, October 10

Europe has been enthralled by night with the spectacle of shooting stars. These . were not seen in London, owing to clouds, (Ltsfbda reports that there were millions of shooting stairs seen dropping out of the sky like a rain of bright lights. Parisians thronged the streets, and leaned out from windows, and watched a dazzling 'display. The people of Cologne and of Barcelona were similarly spellbound by the phenonema.
