FIVE DESTROYERS TO COME THIS YEAR. .United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph— Copyright.) ■LONDON, September 29. With the arrival of a further four officers and 179 ratings from Australia, arrangement's with regard to five destroyers that are joining the Australian navy are now well forward. The destroyers are British and they are‘being loaned to Australia, their names a re: The “Stuart, undc?i command of Captain A. G. Lilley ; the ‘■Vampire,” under Commander Howden ; the “Waterhen,” under Lieut.Commander ißosenbal; the 1 \ endetta,” under Lieut.-Commander Donovan; and the “Voyager,” under Lieut.-Commander Stewart. Captain Lilley will have command ol the destroyers while in Australia. The following is the itinerary that has been arranged for them : After their departure from their different home ports, which will he taken on October 17, they will rendezousin the English Channel and will arrive at Gibraltar on October' 22. They depart on October 24 and will visit Aden, Colombo and Singapore Ihey arrive at Darwin on December 8, and at Brisbane on December 17. They arrive at Sydney on December 21. The erewß include, twelve 'Royal Navy officers and 280 men who will be disembarked at Singapore for the Far East naval stations. Thereupon they /will b<» replaced »by a corresponding number of Royal Australian naval officers and men, thus _ representing a considerable economy in passenger money.
