FATAL FALL
A STRANGE TRAGEDY £ (Per Press Association, Copyright). AUCKLAND, September 26. Fatal injuries were received by a retired farmer-named Allan John Ross 'user 64, as the result of a fall from an overhead bridge in Mount Eden, early this morning. Ross, who was single, was sitting on the bridge rail when lie lost his balance; falling heavily to a lawn near a railway line below. At the inquest, Sylvia Bradcock, aged 11, said she was standing outgkle her home, and saw the man sitting on a rail of the bridge facing the road. He was roll.ng a cigarette, v-hen his hat was blown backward, The man turned round .in r . ,an attempt-, to catch his hat, but overbalanced falling off the rail tothe section below. The inquest was ; adjourned
