The chairman of the Board, Mr McOonaghy, said thta dumping duties had been imposed by other countries at various times. Japan was not singled .out. for special attention. Mr Holt, representing, the Chamber of Manufacturers, said that while Japan was, at- present, Australia’s greatest anxiety, there were other countries from-which Australia’s position may be attacked.' A fixed rate in the foreign column of the tariff .' would be preferable to a dumping duty on individual countries. ,
