ALEXANDER MINES LIMITED. The'latest official report regarding the lode intersected on the 20th inst., in tlie new No. 4 (lowest) level, is that the reef i.s 3 feet Cinches wide, and kbeing followed northwards—-eight .feet so far having been driven north—the ore body is clean and solid, and is showing visible gold, but assay values aie not yet to. hand.. • In the, intermediate’ . level > (40 feet vertically above libw No. 4 level) the lode is beipg driven upon north from tlie point where it was first intersected, and has widened out to 6 feet in the present, face. 45 feet has been driven north on this reef to date. Values are low, at present,‘but should 'improve.
