BEEKEEFERS MEET
GREYMOUIH, ~Scp. „2p. 'J’lie West Coast branch of the "National Beekeepers’ Association held a general meeting on Saturday evening at the Lyceum Hall,. Mr. R. £jmi thers (president) iu the chair. The feeling of the meeting was strongly opposed to local compulsory control of the honey market, and it was decided to take action to prove ’! the passing of any Acts or Amendments to the,existing Acts making provision for .control oil the local market. Tlic meeting was unanimously in favour of supporting the committee- of, beekeepers recently formed to inves igate tiie affairs of the Honey Producers’ Association (in liquidation) and the N.Z. Honey Export Control Hoard. ft was decided to communicate wit 1 ’ the manager of flic N.Z. Honey Export Control Hoard seeking information as to exactly wlmt the policy of t’ e, Rn;>i-d was for the future marketing of N.Z. lionev .ovr-seas.
