The Dunedin band contest executive refused the request of the New Zealand Brass Bauds Association that if. hand over its accumulated reserve of over 20 year, of £2OO to the Association. It was only through thrift over many years that the executive could take over 'from Christchurch the financial responsibility of the last festival.
