LITTLE CHILD

CAUGHT IN MILKING MACHINE. • HAMILTON, September 13. Terrible injuries to the head were received by a child,. Graham Thomas ■.Barg l, ' —'ll two years ten months, the sou of Mr Jame s B-argh, fanner, Kio Kio, last, evening, and resulted in the child’s- death, in the Waikato Hospital this morning. Mi* Bargli had finished milking, but had left .the. milking machine engine running—He was attending to the cows when his attention was attracted by the child’s- cries from this engine room. The child had caught -hi s clothes' on the Countershaft of the engine, and had been whirled round at least' a dozen •times before the engine could be stopped. His head was struck at each revolution on the concrete floor of the shed and his skull was .fractured. Du* C.. B. Giilberd, of Otorohanga, was -called, and ordered the child’s removal to t-he Waikato Hospital. Death occurred at 3.30 a.m. to-day.
