CANADIAN BUTTER
EXCESS SUPPLIES ON HAND, (United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright). 'OTTAWA, September 12. Canada ha s made too much butter anj now finds itself with ten million pounds more butter than is needed for its domestic consumption this winter, Representatives of the Canadian National Dairy Council are now conferring with the Minister of Trade and Commerce, and the Minister of Agriculture, to see what can be done about it. The Canadian product sells at a discount on the British market as compared with New Zealand butter. The holders of this butter in Canada are reported to be prepareu L o ship the surplus to the United Kingdom and to sell it at a loss rather than glut the domestic market, and they art expecting te recoup any loss by securing a seasonal advance on upwards of thirty million pounds of butter to be sold for home consumption.
