' "Excluding the two tragic crashes which occurred during the year, the club’s operations have resulted in a loss of £97 10s ,after writing off £583 for depreciation of plant and equipment,” slates the annual report of the Wellington Aero Club. "Adding the direct cost of the crashes the total loss for the,year is £947 10s.” The report adds: "Tho'c figures indicate clearly the impossibility of aero dubs carrying on without adequate Government assistance assistance which clubs had every right to expect in view of the promises made by the Government when the clubs were in process of formation.”
