CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER (Per Press Association—Copyright). WHANGAREI, September 12. Consequent on fatal injuries received by Mrs Eunice Emily Mafi’y Gor. don, a passenger in a oar which collided with a train on Kamo Roa c ] level crossing on August 2, a verdict was returned that her subseqnent„death at the hospital was due to fracture of the skull and laceration of the brain. The car driver, Warwick Buysdael Claris, a farmer, of Mama, brother or the deceased, was charged with manslaughter in that by negligent driving, he caused the death of Mrs Gordon. He pleaded not guilty. He was committed bv two Justices of the Peace for trial at the Supreme Court at Auckland. Rail/ was fixed at £IOO.
