GAMARU HARBOUR
breakwater extension cost. (per Press Association — Copyright.) OAMARU. September 13. M,. F. W. Furkert, former engineer to the Public Works, reported to the Oamani Harbour Board yesterday on the proposed breakwater extension to enable the deepening of the harbour, and a better entrance. The proposal is for a wing extending easterly 880 feet from the present breakwater. Ihe cost is extimated at £96.500. the Board referred the report of the standing committee for a report at a special meeting at a later date.
