President Grau San Martin to-night told Colonel Harocio Ferrer that the army and navy officers, wlio are in practical rebellion at the Hotel Nation, must come to terms with the new Government/ within twenty-four or thirty-six hours. FEDERAL REVENUE SYDNEY, September 12. The Federal revenue for the first two months of the current financial year, was £12,730,000 or £2,540,00 in excess of expenditure. New South Wales revenue for tlm same period was £0.529.000, and was £1,915,000 below expenditure. FINE OF £4600 QUASHED. SYDNEY, September 12. Tile District Court of Appeal quashed the conviction /of Rilev Newman Ltd., who were fined £4638 (in July last) for having opossum skins in their possession. The Judge held that the actual person doing the forbidden deed, should be subject to penalties.
