WELLINGTON, August 20, Information that the English tennis players are expected here on October 16 was given to-night by the chairman, Mr Henderson, at the annual meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Tennis Association. He said lie had received a cable- saying the three players were Perry, Lee and Wilde. Criticism of the participation of primary school children in tennis tournaments was expressed by the Council of the Association to-night. Mr H. N. Watson said that in- far too many tournaments children were compelled to play with racquets and balls much too heavy, and consequently were unable -to make strokes correctly.
