LANG AGAIN
■ATTACK, MADE ON GOVERNMENT. NEGLECT- OF THE UNEMPLOYED. • (Australian Press Association). SYDNEY, August 29. In the New. South Wales Legislative Assembly to-day, Mr Lang, Leader of the Opposition, moved a censure motion, based on the Government’® socalled 'disregard of the privations of the unemployed, and it s “filching” three million pounds from the wages fax fund, diverting it to the consolidated revenue, and thereby depriving the .starving families of much-needed sustenance. The Premier, Mr Stevens, in the course of; his reply, declared that the ■Government bad'-actually spend £2,173,i 313 more than in the previous year on unemployment relief. The remainder, of Mr Lang’s speech, added Mr Stevens, lacked trust and a real understanding of the present problems. The motion defeated on a party division bv 53 to 24, •
