WEST COAST RUGBY UNION. GREYMOUTH, August 30. The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the West G®:«t (Rugby Union was held last evening at Greymouth. 4 . Kumara juniors were declared winners of the junior competition. It was decided that a knock-out junior competition be commenced next Saturday week. The Nelson Union wrote thanking thii s Union for favours extended to the touring tern, particularly Mr 'Eggleton for the time and attention he gave to the team. The opportunity was taken ,of congratulating the Union on retaining the Seddon Shield and on the .fine sporting spirit in which the match was played. . : , An invitation of the Westland SubUnion to play for the Ditt, man Shield at Hokitika o n September 9 * accepted. .. Advice was received from the Railway Department that it was running a third special train to Christchurch on Saturday, which would leave Hokitika at 1.10 a!m. and Greymouth at 2.30 a.m., arriving at Christchurch at 8.25 a.m.
